Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous With French Cinema

December 6, 2012

Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous With French Cinema rolled out the red carpet today to welcome France’s top leading lady, Sophie Marceau. I was at Raffles Hotel today for the press conference and I must say most of us were bowled over by Sophie’s elegance and presence yet exuding a touch of youthful playfulness in her. Sophie shared with us her philosophy in life as well as her thoughts on numerous topics. I hope I will have the time to do a second post on it as I did glean a number of concepts which I would like to apply to my life as well.

Sophie Marceau, leads a cast of French celebrities at Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous With French Cinema to promote the best of French cinema in Singapore and the region. From 5 to 9 December 2012, Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous With French Cinema serves up a dazzling array of the latest French movies that will appeal to every taste. With a star studded delegation of actors, actresses, directors, producers and a diverse programme of film screenings, the festival promises to be a highlight of the Singapore film calendar.

A total of 12 films will be screened across two venues — The Cathay as well as the Alliance Française de Singapour. Opening the Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous With French Cinema will be the film Happiness Never Comes Alone (Un bonheur n’arrive jamais seul) which makes its Southeast Asian debut. Starring the elegant Sophie Marceau and directed by James Huth, the film tells of a love story between two people who are made for each other despite having nothing in common. Known internationally for her roles in the movie Braveheart (1995) and the James Bond thriller, The World Is Not Enough (1999), Marceau’s star power shines through once again in this festival opening film.

Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous With French Cinema is organised by Institut Français, Unifrance and Alliance Française de Singapour and sponsored by Societe Generale Private Banking.
