I feel so hungry looking at these photos! I think I need to go eat dinner again. This was what we had for dinner yesterday. Just 2 simple dishes of broccoli sauteed with garlic and braised beancurd with mushrooms. And plain rice. Sometimes, only Chinese food will do, and yesterday was 1 such day, even though we walked past Caffe Bar, which was having a promotion on $20 steak.
What is it that makes these broccoli florets so crunchy and tasty? They never taste half as crunchy when we do it at home. They soak up the garlic oil so well. The Partner thinks that butter is used, but that would be rare for Chinese cuisine wouldn’t it?
Crystal Jade was having yet another one of their meat promotion. This time round, get a whole braised duck for $10 takeaway and $16 eat in. We would have ordered this had we not been binging all weekend long.
