Christmas 2019 is but just over a month away! It’s the time of the year to think tinsel and make merry again. Tell me if you don’t get excited seeing all the Christmas decorations popping up one by one everywhere. I’ve long told myself not to just focus on the big day itself, but to actually soak up the whole Christmassy atmosphere from November. Because Christmas Eve and Christmas Day whizzes by SO FAST, I feel a little down the day after. I find if I start celebrating from November, there’s a whole lot more time to enjoy the festivities!

Crossroads Cafe – New Menu available including Impossible burger!

Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel’s Crossroads Cafe has recently launched new items to its menu. As the name suggests, Crossroads Cafe is located at at the crossroads of Orchard Road. It’s so conveniently located that it’s always bustling no matter the time of the day. Even the tourists and Marriott’s hotel guests who flock to the cafe know that it is the place to people watch while downing a cold drink or having a meal. It may be called a cafe but with its East-meets-West menu, you can get proper meals here such as steaks, pastas, burgers, local delights like hor fun, salads and even oysters.

Four Seasons Hotel’s One-Ninety Restaurant reopens after botanical-inspired transformation

The modern Asian brasserie One-Ninety Restaurant  at Four Seasons Hotel is now open after a botanical-inspired makeover. This heritage-botanical theme is in line with the theme used by the the recently renovated hotel rooms and suites. If One-Ninety Restaurant previously struck you as cavernous and aloof, it now exudes a much more inviting and friendly vibe, yet still retaining its classy nature.

Four Seasons One Ninety Restaurant

The revamped restaurant now serving Provençal cuisine with an Asian twist,  also boasts a newly minted Restaurant Chef Kamarl John, who previously worked at Four Seasons London (I’ll be visiting in just a few day’s time!!) as well as at Adrift at MBS.

Signature dishes here include the Seasonal Seafood Tower for Two, the Chargrilled 1.2kg Forty Days Aged Rib Chop MBS 6 and the Iberico Pork Presa & Collar. Even the complimentary bread showcases Chef Kamarl’s creative craftsmanship as the Artisan Sourdough bread is made from flour sourced from artisanal mills in Hokkaiddo, ground by hand and blended to his specification, and the loaves baked fresh daily at One-Ninety.

Hands up those who looooove dim sum???? I did a poll recently and most people voted that dim sum is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I certainly could eat dim sum at any time of the day. But the thing is, most places these days stick to the tried and tested dim sum dishes, so it is quite exciting to be able to find something new when it comes to dim sum.

For a short time only, April to be exact, Wan Hao Restaurant at Marriot Hotel will be offering up some unique dim sum creations that are worth checking out.

Christmas Eve (Dinner) and Christmas Day (Lunch & Dinner) crowd pleasers not to be missed include Roast Turkey with Chestnut Bread Stuffing; Slow-roasted Australian Beef Prime Ribs; Maple Gazed Leg Ham; Pan-fried Foie Gras with Chutney, Relish & Brioche; Milanese Style Lamb Chops with Lemon & Herbs; Bacon Wrapped Chicken Ballotine with Creamy Kale, and more.
