Photos of calm and serene MacRitchie Reservoir. A very nice place to stroll in the evenings and they even have a new cafe to boot.  Also a very romantic place for lovebirds. You can sit on the benches and just take in the views. For the more adventurous amongst us, you could continue into the forest for a hike, but I find that simply staying or strolling by the reservoir is enough for me to  while away 1 or 2 hours.  Guided tours are held every 2nd Saturday of the Month.

For more information on the guided tours and on getting to MacRitchie Reservoir Park, click here to go to the National Parks website.  Click here for the maps of the walking trails. Although Marymount MRT Station is the nearest to the park, it is still 2 km away. It may be better to take a bus as there are more than 10 buses serving the area.  Alight at the bus-stop along Lornie Road, or if you are driving, the carpark entrance is about 50 metres ahead. Make sure you don’t turn into the exit as that comes before the entrance.
