Splashtopia at Sentosa review – 5 things to note before your visit! Yes it’s worth visiting!

March 12, 2024

First look at Splashtopia, from the same people who brought you Kiztopia and Jumptopia! This the first of its kind inflatable water park! 9 massive inflatables, plus food kiosks, carnival rides and even private cabanas to enjoy the scenic view, located at Sentosa Palawan Green. If you’re going by public transport, you can take the Sentosa Express all the way to Beach Station and it’s just a 5 minute stroll to Splashtopia!

There’s no doubt the kids will have a wild time playing at Splashtopia. It’s totally worth visiting. If you’ve been to Jumptopia, this is even more exhilarating because there’s the water element. Truth be told, this was fun even for the adults, especially the giant tall slides!

Here’s 5 things you need to note to make your visit to Splashtopia more pleasant and comfortable!

1. You don’t need to know how to swim in order to visit Splashtopia

The water level is only up to an adult’s calves, about 30cm – 40cm. Also life vests are provided for those who want to feel extra safe. Kids under 3 will definitely have to be closely chaperoned due to the slippery and bouncy nature of the inflatables. There is a small kiddies pool filled with plastic sea animals just for the babies and toddlers.

2. Slather on lots of sunblock!

We were lucky to visit when it was overcast so the weather was actually great for being outdoors. I even forgot to put any sunblock and suffered no ill effects. If you’re visiting when the sun is out in full force, don’t forget that sunblock! There’s mostly no shade when you’re out on the inflatables, except for one. However there is a tent back at the entrance where the changing rooms are, if you need some respite from the sun or rain.

3. Dry changing facilities available and chargeable lockers

Temporary changing facilities are available at the entrance tentage. However should you require shower facilities or toilets, these are a few minutes walk away. Also, lockers are chargeable at $3 for a one-time usage (once you open the door, you’ll have to deposit another $3 if you want to lock it again). You might need to bring your own coins as when we were there, we had to source for our own.

4. Food kiosks available nearby

The food kiosks were not ready when we visited for the Splashtopia preview. However they have since opened. $4 ice creams also available at the entrance. Best to bring your own snacks if you don’t want to overspend and if your kids are the ravenous kind. We completely underestimated how hungry they would be after expending all that energy at Splashtopia.

Edward went on this more than 5 times!

5. You will need a minimum of 2 hours to enjoy Splashtopia!

Splashtopia is huge, with 9 inflatables, in addition to a small side carnival. When we were there for the media preview, only half of Splashtopia was open and if not for the sudden torrential downpour, we would have spent more than 2 hours there. Make the most of your ticket by visiting on weekdays, which allow for unlimited play, as opposed to the peak period days where play is limited to only 3 hours.
