What is open during Chinese New Year 2015?

Here’s my annual list of places that are open during the CNY period! Hope you find it useful. If the supermarket or shopping centre in Orchard road is not listed here, it’s because the information is not available! You can also check last year’s guide, 2013 guide or 2012 guide for reference.

Supermarkets

NTUC

• CNY Eve (18 Feb) —  Most stores close at 5pm.
• 1st Day (19 Feb) — Most stores closed.
• 2nd Day (20 Feb ) — Some stores open as per usual, some close at 5pm.
• 3rd Day (21 Feb) — Open as usual
• Some stores open 24hr throughout : Bedok, Clementi, Siglap, Geylang, Jurong East, Seng Kang etc

Cold Storage Supermarket

• CNY Eve (18 Feb) —  Most stores close at 7pm
• 1st Day (19 Feb) — Most stores open to 9pm
• 2nd Day (20 Feb ) — Mostly normal hours
• 3rd Day (21 Feb) — Open as usual
• Some stores open 24 hr throughout : Holland Village, Jelita, Rail Mall etc

• CNY Eve (18 Feb) —  Mostly 24 hours (even those not normally 24 hrs!)

• Transit Area shops all open
• Public area F&B and shops mostly open. Exceptions are Crystal Jade, Kopitiam, Sakae Sushi, NTUC etc.

• CNY Eve (18 Feb) — All stores closed at 5.30pm
• 1st Day (19 Feb) — All stores closed
• 2nd Day (20 Feb ) — Only Isetan Scotts and Jurong East open 11am — 7pm. All others closed

• 1st Day (19 Feb) — Mostly closed. SG Flyer, Paragon, HDB Hub, AMK MRT, Vivocity open till about 7.30pm
• 2nd Day (20 Feb ) — Mostly closed. Above and Paragon, Bugis Junction, Raffles City, Parkway etc open till about 7.30pm
• 3rd Day (21 Feb) — Nearly all biz as usual except Far East Sq, Bedok Mall, Fusionopolis
• Changi Airport outlet open 24 hours throughout

• CNY Eve (18 Feb) — Most outlets closed either 2.30pm or 5pm
