Finally managed to make it to Oomphaticos after knowing of its existence for several years!!! From the minute I first saw it, I just knew that I would have to dine here some day. The decor is so quirky and inviting! I don’t believe I’ve seen a restaurant like that before! And don’t even get me started on the name, who on earth thought of this name?
We chose to sit ”outside” on the Sunday afternoon we were here. It’s a passageway between Tanglin Mall and Traders Hotel, so you’re still shaded from While it’s not air-conditioned, you are still shaded from the sun. The area is so breezy, probably from the wind tunnel effect.
Enjoyed my meal here too. Tanglin mall is another laid back place I like.
How was the risotto?
Love this place too!
I ate there a few times before! The first time I reserved places and they had this mini chalk board welcoming me by name on my table! I like the food and decor…
Wow that’s cool. Like a VIP!!
I love Tabglin Mall. It’s off Orchard Road so you don’t have to grapple with the horrendous crowds, and there’s quite a few nice lifestyle shops in there too. There’s a small shop called Tatty Marsh located just next to Oomphaticos and all the stuff there are so pretty! They stock Cath Kidston and Susie Watson products which makes you feel you’re in an English cottage in UK. Another favorite shop is Brown Rice Paradise on L3 where I stock up on all my essential nut butters!
That’s risotto in the first picture, I’m guessing. It looks great!
