Afternoon Tea at Sheraton Towers Singapore – $29++ until 31 May 2023?!

When researching for afternoon tea promotions in Singapore, information on the afternoon tea at Sheraton Towers Singapore turned out to be very elusive. If you visit Sheraton Tower’s website, save for the words “afternoon tea”, you will be hard-pressed to find any other information on it. Even a menu is not available to peruse.

Guess what, turns out that Sheraton Towers Singapore’s Afternoon Tea is one of the more value-for-money afternoon teas in Singapore! For $58++, they will throw in a glass of De Bortoli Petit Moscato NV for free. Most other hotels will have you topping up $10-$20 just for an additional alcoholic drink.

There is also a dish of Warm Butter Lobster Ragu on Croffles with Salted Egg Cream! The lobster is pretty sizable for an afternoon tea, and it tasted really good too. I loved everything about it, from the chunky lobster to the salted egg cream and the buttery croffle. The rest of the afternoon tea is pretty standard fare, nothing particularly startling, but the addition of the Lobster on Croffles and the Moscato, makes the afternoon tea at Sheraton Towers quite value for money.

I’ll have to add though only one cup of tea or coffee is allowed. If you order tea, they don’t even serve it in a teapot. You could probably ask for a refill of hot water since the teabag is provided.

*** Now here’s an even more amazing deal. From now until 31 May 2023 (weekdays), if you use an UOB Credit Card to pay, the afternoon tea is going at 1-for-1!!! Is that a fantastic deal or what?! The menu I’ve featured here was back in Oct 2022. Do check what the theme of the latest menu is. ***

At first glance, the Lobby Bar where the afternoon tea takes place looks a bit basic, especially when compared to the main dining area with its high ceilings and full view of the outdoor waterfall. There is no view of the waterfall at the Lobby Bar. You can only hear it in the background. Some sunlight does stream in though and soft rays make for a somewhat cosy vibe.

It helps that tables are spaced widely apart so the end result is a pretty cosy afternoon tea. We stayed well beyond the 5pm cut-off time to chat. Don’t expect swift service here though, the staff seem short-handed. A number of times I found it easier to walk up to the bar counter to put in my requests as it was next to impossible to catch any staff’s eye.
